The High Pressure Fuel System Application for CI-engine
Ševčík, Ondřej ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design of new high pressure injection system application on diesel engine. The design came from company Zetor’s demands. For this application was chosen system Common Rail supplied by company Bosch. Assignment was separated into several tasks. Research of suitable components for low pressure section, design of waste system and high pressure injection tubes design including injector clamping. Due to injectors used in this system was necessary to redesign cover for valves and even new system to lead wires from outside of the engine to injectors. Injector is attached by screw connection, which is composed from screw and clamping jaw. These parts are subjected to an analytic calculations. Clamping jaw of injector is even subjected to a FEM analysis, which focuses on fatigue life. Finally, the drawings were documented.
Thermo-mechanical Analysis of Diesel Internal Combustion Engine Head
Kozák, Ondřej ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with analysis of mechanical and thermal load of a diesel engine cylinder head with fatigue life prediction. In the first part common solution options are described. The second part contains stress, deformation and fatigue life prediction computation of the given diesel engine cylinder head.
Jawa 50 performance improvement
Horák, Jiří ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on increasing the performance of Jawa Babetta type 225 moped engine. The first part of the bachelor thesis describes the principle of a two - stroke combustion engine and the possibility of its distribution. The next part is dedicated to the modification, which was done experimentally according to information from available literature. The thesis contains a comparison of the results of the serial and modified engine measurements.
Increasing the efficiency of an internal combustion engine for small autonomous vehicles
Celý, Martin ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The work deals with the analysis of various possibilities of increasing the efficiency of a small internal combustion engine potentially usable for use in the field of autonomous devices of smaller dimensions. It contains an outline of the problems of modern smaller autonomous means and an analysis of available drives designed for them, especially an analysis of propulsion by internal combustion engines. In his next part of the work he provides information about the created mathematical model of the demonstration internal combustion engine in the GT-Power program and an analysis of places where and in what ways its efficiency can be increased. The design of two such components together with the evaluation of the achieved results offers the conclusion of this work.
Modification of a motorcycle spark ignition engine
Poulíček, Matěj ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is about possible modifications of four-stroke motorcycle petrol engines for increasing power. It also deals with the modification of the Aprilia Leonardo 250 engine from a 2-valve variant to a 4-valve variant, the simulation of this engine and the proposed solution in the GT SUITE. Attention is also paid to the strength control of the crank mechanism of the engine.
Engines for Le Mans Series
Herman, Pavel ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the overview of development the drive units, which are used by racing cars of Le Mans endurance series, mainly the race 24 hours of Le Mans. In the first part is outlined the general characteristic the series and the race 24 hours of Le Mans itself. There are briefly described the instructions and the most important technological limitations, observed by designers. The second part contains an owerview of racing cars engines, which are interesting from the historical point of view either by their construction or by achieved success. The last part is devoted to the constructional comparison of drive units of present participants the Le Mans series, their description and the important technical specifications.
Bolted joint of turbocharger and cylinder head
Kolivošková, Veronika ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novák, Kamil (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the theoretical basis of the screw connection theory and the subsequent application to the specific screw connection problem. Mentioned connection is part of the turbo charged combustion engine, specifically directly between the cylinder head and the turbocharger. The diploma thesis is divided into several parts. The first part dealing with selected chapters of the screw connections and the combustion engines theory, whose knowledge is important for further chapters of this diploma thesis. The next part shows method of creating the geometric and computational model, on which were performed the appropriate sensory analyses with respect to determine the cause of the nut and bolt loose in the given connection. On the basis of the gained knowledge and their evaluation has been created a separate calculation methodology in the last part of this thesis, which describing parameters that have an impact on this undesirable phenomenon, and which should be included in analyses for similar issues. The diploma thesis was realized in cooperation with ŠKODA Auto a.s., tř. Václav Klementa 869, Mladá Boleslav, and AUDI AG, Union-Straße 1, Ingolstadt.
Solution of Engine Block Deformations during Assembling
Foltis, Aleš ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
Size and distribution of mount deformation are the main topics discussed in this thesis, using different static loading. The thesis’ primary focus is to show how deformation and stress of the engine block with cylinder liner are affected in the assembly order of the cylinder head. The calculation and evaluation of the solution are calculated by using method finite element, software Ansys. In addition other methods are discussed which can also measure the deformation of the engine block.
Manufacture of cylinder head casting for engine renovation Jawa 50
Pastyřík, Petr ; Myška, Martin (referee) ; Bořil, Petr (advisor)
This project elaborats the manufacture of a cylinder head casting for an engine renovation of Jawa 50. Based on the literary pursuit of suitable foundry technologies and using 3D printing in foundry a casting production technology was designed and the cylinder head was made. The part was designed in the CAD software and then printed on a 3D printer. The printed model was formed in ceramic shell form, then melted and the form was annealed. After that the cast was casted. The last operations were fettling and finishing machining.
Flow characteristics measurement of intake and exhaust ports on SF 260 flowbench
Školař, Karel ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis deals with experimental modifications in order to increase the filling efficiency of the combustion engine. The thesis contains a search for issues dealing with increasing the filling efficiency of the engine. To verify the modifications on the cylinder head, measurements were performed in the laboratory at the flow bench. At the end, the measured results were compared and evaluated.
